About us
Noble Caledonia specialises in worldwide, small ship cruises and escorted tours and offers a diverse range of trips that are educational, enjoyable and, above all different.
Since our establishment in 1991, we have made it our aim to provide our guests with a lasting memory of a journey made with like-minded travellers and offer voyages aboard a unique and varied array of vessels ranging in size from as few as 24 guests to just 160. The itinerary is always paramount in our planning and our small ships have the freedom of the seas and can come alongside in small docks or drop anchor in any suitable spot. We continually expand our repertoire to include new destinations and offer cruises along the world’s iconic rivers, voyages to pristine and remote islands and atolls, expedition cruises to both the Arctic and Antarctic, voyages under sail and in-depth cultural cruises.
A team of knowledgeable staff or Guest Speakers accompany our cruises and make each journey an enjoyable and rewarding experience. Whether you join one of our voyages close to home in the Hebrides or in far flung Melanesia, you will be assured of a warm welcome on board and a big experience aboard one of our small ships.

Our small ship cruises are comprehensive and in the main concentrate on a particular area or theme with the focus of the voyage being the itinerary and experience to be had. On board you will be joined by specialist guest speakers or an expedition team who accompany you ashore along with the expert local guides. Expedition cruises offer visits to out of the way destinations and many landings ashore will be made by Zodiac landing craft, appealing to the more adventurous and those who enjoy the natural world. The advantages of exploring by small ship are numerous and include small group sizes, ability to access some of the world's most pristine and untouched ports, no queuing to embark or disembark the vessel, and a relaxed and informal atmosphere on board which is conducive to becoming acquainted with fellow travellers and learning whether it be about the wonders of nature, the culture or ancient civilisations you are visiting.
With almost thirty years experience of operating river cruises and with continuous growing demand we have increased our portfolio each year to offer cruises all over the world. Exploring by river vessel is one of the most comfortable means possible and allows what could be otherwise tiring and demanding itineraries to be accomplished with ease. All you have to do is unpack once and let your hotel glide along waterways which, by their very geography, have been the centre of history and in many cases have influenced the development of the region through which they flow. You may travel through several countries, visit idyllic villages and fascinating towns and cities, and all the while, every detail is taken care of, from formalities of border crossings to sumptuous meals and information on what to see and do in the next port of call.
Our varied array of escorted land tours will appeal to those looking for something a little different from the usual collection of tours offered in mainstream brochures. Our repertoire features both independent hotel stays, organised tours, and journeys staying in a range of beautiful accommodation in multiple destinations. Excursions will be expertly guided by local specialists and well located and superior hotels, or best available, will await you at all your destinations. A selection of our escorted tours are special interest based and will explore themes such as music, history, culture or gastronomy. Whether you choose to join one of our journeys by private plane or train or spend a week in a carefully selected property, our escorted land based tours are planned to achieve the most comfortable, convenient and interesting journey.
